Money Isn’t the Enemy: Healing Your Relationship With Wealth
Share
A Gentle Shift Toward Abundance
Money has never been the villain—it’s been the mirror. For many of us raised in communities where survival was the priority, money became the symbol of stress, struggle, or even shame. But what if wealth wasn’t about greed, but about freedom? About rest. About access. About building something your future self can thrive in?
As I began building Soul Tribe Co., I realized that my healing wasn’t just spiritual or physical—it was financial, too. I had to unlearn the fear of asking for more. I had to stop flinching every time I opened my bank app. And most importantly, I had to believe that it was safe to hold wealth in my hands.
Let's Talk Limiting Beliefs:
Do any of these feel familiar?
- “I’m just not good with money.”
- “Rich people are selfish.”
- “I wasn’t raised to be wealthy.”
- “I’d rather be happy than rich.”
These phrases live in the subconscious and shape how we treat our resources. But when we dig deeper, we realize that financial trauma can look like avoidance, overspending, self-sabotage, or guilt when we receive.
Reframe the Narrative:
Wealth is not just about what you have. It’s about what you hold onto.
It’s about making decisions from a place of ease rather than desperation.
It’s about finally being able to say “yes” to the life you actually want.
My Go-To Tools for Healing Financial Trauma:
- Journaling: I use this to name my fears and rewrite my beliefs.
- Intentional Budgeting: I don’t restrict—I align my money with my values.
- Courses & Books: I re-educate myself every chance I get.
